interesting (Rewritten after accidental write-over)

Here is my section on interesting people and things on the web:

Yellowworld.org: A majorly cool website that has an extensive forum for members of the Asian and Pacific Islander community. Become a member for free and then post to your heart's delight. Speak out on important community issues, or just rant or rave about your latest gripe in life.

Social Invisibility: Take a look at my long-ass discussion about social invisibility among Asians and Pacific Islanders. A rather thought-provoking piece indeed! Of course, I shouldn't be patting myself on the butt like that.

A&F T-shirt Urban Legend?: I found this little write-up on Snopes.com about the A&F t-shirt incidence. I never really thought about it as urban legend, especially since it didn't happen all too long ago.

Xanga: You've probably read one blog or another from Xanga. It seems to be the most well-laid out community of blogs. The cool thing is that it seems to offer a very diverse range of members, so you can revel in many different perspectives and styles of writing.

Alvin Tan's Review of Iron Ladies II: I responded to Alvin Tan's review of the new movie, Iron Ladies II on Fridae. It generated a lot of discussion about the portrayal of gay people in Asia, but also about gender roles and femme-phobia. I cut and pasted what I had posted on Fridae Forums. Check it out, you might like what you see...

Vitaball: I found Vitaballs at Walmart. I wasn't exactly looking for any vitamin supplements. However, they seem pretty fun and kooky, especially if I can get away from taking those nasty-tasting vitamin tablets. Taste-wise, they're ok. You can still taste a bit of the woody flavor of the vitamins, but the bubble gum flavor is strong enough so that you won't get too turned off. You only take one a day, so don't go overboard!

Dance Dance Revolution: I don't know if it's the Asian in me or what, but I love DDR! Konami made an absolute gem with this innovative game. Although you might remember that Nintendo had a step-pad game back in the 80's, the Benami Series were the first to really connect action-step game play with hot music and contemporary dancing. As for myself, I am still working on developing a style, but I got 2 songs under my belt (how embarassing!). If you are looking for the best website that has info on DDR, then you got to check out DDR Freak. They have the friendliest layout with a list of DDR machines and lists of every DDR game and songlist moves.

Johnny 2X4 and Plank: Yepp, they're characters from Ed, Edd, and Eddy, a cartoon on the Cartoon Network. Johnny is cool, because he has an "imaginary" friend named Plank. I guess I like Johnny, because he always has some witty dialogue that you can't help but to laugh at. Oh yeah, I think Johnny and Plank are a bit more than just "friends".

Josie Nutter: She's a pretty goth who has an amazing website about her life, photos, and tons of info about herself. I originally stumbled onto her site when I was playing Monster Rancher and she held the web's largest database of CDs. She's changed her site substantially since then, but it's still chock full of cool photos of her. She's definitely a beautiful gal, so you could at least visit her site if you are up for some eye candy.

Ian Tyler Duncan: I think most people know Ian Duncan from those porn pictures floating around the Internet. Yeah, that's where I saw him too. In the beginning, I don't think anyone knew his first name, but eventually every Yahoo Group started calling him by his full name (including his middle name). Well I did a Google search and I found out that he actually had an official website. Just to let you know, it's not just a beefcake site...so you won't be seeing him naked on there (yeah, what a disappointment). However, you will find a lot of information about his life, including his coming out story, being HIV+, and living with(out) gynecomastia.
